Our Chosen Song

The Noisettes - Young, Wild Hearts.

 

 

 

 

After several brainstorming sessions, researching and a long think, we've decided to create a music video for the song 'Young, wild hearts' by The Noisettes. We've chosen this song carefully along with the artist as we wanted a song which didn't have a concept/narrative music video to start with as those were the two ideas we were considering. In addition to this, we didn't want an artist who was a household name. This makes it easier for us to create a music video with a basic idea of who the artist, what her style of music and clothing is and use it to create a brand image using our own unbiased ideas.

 

The lead singers voice is classy and distinctive, however the lyrics emphasize rebellion, teenage angst, young love and fun. We can use both of these ideas to base our video around and are currently in the process of brainstorming ideas based around these issues and trying to think of shots, props and locations to suit them.

 

As we are at the early stages of planning, we will be conducting a focus group to help us recieve a broader range of ideas and concepts to use within our music video. We hope to have 6 females and 6 males ranging from the ages 14-25 in our focus group as this is roughly our target audience. Although females are going to be our main target audience, we've decided to include males as we want to create something that can appeal to more than just females.
