Initial Ideas
Due to the fact that Sarah and I focused and eery concepts to use within our creations last year, this year we have decided to do the total opposite and create a youthful, happy music video instead. This will give us a chance to demonstrate our range of skills whilst experiencing something different to what we're used to. We are aware that this will be a challange however our ideas are gradually shaping into something exciting.
At first, we were swayed by our own personal preferences of music e.g. R&B love songs however after researching previous A2 music videos created by other A2 students around the country, we found that this genre of music was rather common and didn't give us enough space to be creative with our ideas as they were more or less based on 'love'. Although love is subjective and can portrayed in various ways, we wanted to create something unique and unexpected.
After brainstorming, we came up with the idea of basing our music video on 'happiness'.
This lead us to many music videos by artists such as Ellie Goulding, Florence and The Machine and also Delilah as they are regarded as 'quirky' artists. We are now in the process of finding a positive, upbeat song to create a music video for which is sung by a current and quirky female artist.
